Impact : Technical development and jobs creation

Grace Wanjiru Mitesi, a 72-year-old mother and grandmother who defies age, exemplifies that entrepreneurship is a continuous endeavour for all generations.

Here passion for farming started at a subsistence level and later morphed into an opportunity in agribusiness.

With WIDU support and collaboration with her Diaspora partner, her son residing in Germany, Grace successfully installed reliable water storage capacity. This ensures uninterrupted vegetable cultivation throughout the year, regardless of weather conditions.

Grace's efforts contribute to a daily supply of fresh vegetables for Nakuru County, illustrating how WIDU.Africa actively promotes the inclusion of women of all ages. Her story serves as an inspiration to both current and future generations.
