New Coaching Organisation in Ethiopia
WIDU and Digital Opportunity Trust (DOT) Ethiopia kick-off partnership
WIDU.africa in Ethiopia recently started a partnership with a new coaching organization: Digital Opportunity Trust (DOT) Ethiopia will from now on provide business coaching to participants of the WIDU project.
On 28 February and 1 March 2023, ten new coaches working for DOT Ethiopia and the WIDU Ethiopia team met for a training of coaches and to kick-off a successful partnership. The workshop’s objective was to introduce the WIDU project to the new coaches. Furthermore, WIDU and the ten new coaches discussed expectations for their training sessions as well as topics such as receipt eligibility and learned about how to use the WIDU platform as coaches and coaching coordinator.
On the second day of the training the group was joint by RFC. RFC is WIDU Ethiopia’s second coaching organization. They shared their experiences, views, and opinions while working with WIDU for a year. Nuriya Tenkir, who works for WIDU Ethiopia is satisfied with the outcome of the exchange between RFC and DOT: “It was also a great opportunity for DOT Ethiopia to see how the WIDU Coaching actually works on the ground and share experiences.”
WIDU Business CoachingIn order to provide business coaching for WIDU entrepreneurs, WIDU works with regional organizations in all of our six African partner countries. These coaching sessions are tailored to the needs of the individuals, but WIDU also sets certain topics to be able to offer a standardized training for all. For this purpose, WIDU organizes Training of Coaches sessions with all coaching organizations at the beginning of each cooperation.
