#Return4WealthCall: Unlocking the potential of Returnees in Côte d’Ivoire.

Businesses led by returnees in Côte d’Ivoire, the returnees must have spent at least 6 months in the past 5 years in a European Union member state, Norway or Switzerland, or in one of the following African countries: Cameroon, Ethiopia, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Mali, Morocco, Senegal, Togo or Tunisia.

For the purpose of this call, a returnee is defined as:​

​“A person who previously migrated outside Côte d'Ivoire and has voluntarily or involuntarily returned to Côte d'Ivoire within the last five years.” IOM – International Organization for Migration

Eligible forms of return may include:​

Assisted voluntary returnee​

Independent returnee​

Forced returnee (from politic, climatic, civil or armed crisis)​

Returnee following labour migration​

Returnee following study abroad​

WIDU.africa is completely free of charge and does not include application fees, we never ask entrepreneurs to pay for our services. The WIDU Grants and coaching is and will always be free of charge.

No. the #Return4WealthCall is 100% local, no diaspora participation is required.

All businesses or entrepreneurial projects are eligible to participate regardless of activity sector. They must however be compliant with WIDU.africa Terms and Conditions of Use and Contract. 

Entrepreneurs who apply to the #Return4WealthCall must be able to invest between 78’000 XOF and 780’000 XOF during the application period.

You can receive a grant of between 195’000 XOF and 1’950’000 XOF depending on your own personal contribution and the investment plan of your business. The WIDU.africa Grant is equal to 2.5 times the amount you invest.

The grant is disbursed in two phases, 90% upon grant approval and 10% after the required supporting documents related to the project’s implementation have been submitted. In the final stage of the application process, an additional coaching session will take place to support the process

An initial coaching session will then be organised to assess the eligibility and feasibility of your project. If your application is approved, you will receive the WIDU Grant, along with additional coaching sessions to support the development and growth of your business.

The coaching sessions are designed to help you strengthen your business planning, operations, and financial management. Our technical experts will provide you with practical guidance and the necessary tools to support the growth and long-term sustainability of your entrepreneurial project.

The duration of the WIDU application process depends on each entrepreneur and the time required to implement the investment plan, purchase the necessary materials and services, and document each step on the platform. On average, the process takes approximately six months from the initial application to completion. However, this timeframe may vary depending on the specific needs and circumstances of each business project.
