A journey rooted in passion and purpose
Violet turned her passion for design and branding into a business. After working in design and printing agencies, she and her partner saw an opportunity to build something bigger. “Our passion and drive come from our long-existent dream to experience ourselves what we create,” she shares. “It embodies our desire to explore our potential fully and apply it for economic and human advancement.”
With this vision, Suevi was launched, offering custom-made corporate apparel that aligns with brand identity and professionalism. However, like many small businesses, they faced challenges in scaling production and meeting increasing client demand.
Scaling up with WIDU.africa
In order to scale up her production, Violet’s brother who resides in Austria introduced her to WIDU.africa. Through the programme, Violet secured the support needed to expand her operations significantly. The grant enabled her to acquire additional sewing machines, allowing her to introduce a wider range of products and improve the quality of her work. She also hired seven additional employees, making up a total of fifteen jobs created with most of her employees being the youth, enhancing her team’s capacity to fulfill large orders efficiently.
“Through WIDU, I’m now in charge and able to control end-to-end production, making sure my clients get their orders in time,” Violet says. With improved production efficiency and shorter lead times, her business has gained a competitive edge in the corporate branding industry.
