Applications will open on 1 April 2023

On 1 April 2023 WIDU.africa Kenya launches a second Local Call: #FoodSecurity. A website with information is now online and WIDU Kenya offers info sessions for interested participants in the upcoming weeks.

As #foodinsecurity continues to rise due to the global crises and the negative effects of #climatechange, WIDU Kenya is offering support to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) for a sustainable, inclusive, and resilient recovery of #agriculture and #foodsystems. Therefore, a second Local Call: #FoodSecurity will be launched on 1 April 2023.

Which businesses are eligible for funding?

The call addresses entrepreneurs in Kenya who want to make a bigger impact through their venture. Application is open to micro and small businesses from Kenya from specific sectors that are supporting Food Security. In contrary to the Original WIDU Grant, entrepreneurs can apply directly and don’t need support by a European based diaspora donor.
