Kazim Tétou Eyou, an engineer passionate about renewable energies, is the founder of Afrique Énergie Conseil (AEC), a company specialized in the local manufacturing of SUNGAZ solar kits in Togo. Thanks to his technical expertise and his commitment to sustainable development, Kazim has created affordable solutions adapted to the needs of local communities and businesses reducing the dependence on fossil fuels.

A Local Entrepreneur Serving Clean and Accessible Energy
Before receiving support from WIDU, Kazim relied on public electricity to operate his business. However, frequent power outages and high electricity bills severely slowed down production. With co-financing from WIDU and his own investment, Kazim was able to install a photovoltaic solar generator, allowing him to demonstrate its functionality to his customers.

The WIDU investment also helped him reduce his electricity bill by 90%, significantly lowering operating costs. By eliminating power outages, he prevented equipment failures that previously disrupted his business. Additionally, the improved energy supply enhanced the productivity and reliability of his solar kits, ensuring a more efficient production process.
With the improvement of its infrastructure, Kazim was able to increase its production and meet growing demand. Afrique Énergie Conseil has created six new jobs, including two for women, and supports several indirect jobs related to the installation and distribution of solar kits.
Towards a Brighter Future Thanks to Solar Energy
The installation of the solar generator marked a turning point for Kazim’s business. It can now provide full-scale demonstrations to its customers and manufacture generators with better technical precision. Its long-term objective is to develop even more efficient solutions, including a biogas production project.
"Our company, AEC, is committed to promoting clean and renewable energy in Togo. The SUNGAZ solar kits we manufacture are specially designed to meet the energy needs of local communities.”
