2 Jobs

International Women's Day (IWD) on 8 March 2023 celebrates the economic, political and social achievements of women in the past, present and future. WIDU is showcasing these achievements as part of #IWD2023 - this success story is about Quick Pizzas by Edwige in Cameroon.

Local, delicious and passionate: this is how the concept of Quick Pizzas can be described. It is not only a culinary project of Edwige from Yaoundé, but also her heart's desire. "I am passionate about cooking and catering has always been my dream," she explains. Thanks to WIDU's support, she offers pizzas in her restaurant. Ice cream, fruit juices and stews are to be added. It is also important to her that she creates jobs and contributes to strengthening the local economy. "We will buy from small, local growers, gardeners and traders to support local producers."
